Distraught

"I am utterly distraught at the proposal to run giant pylons across Loch Brora and in front of Carrol rock. I cannot think of anything else that better epitomises the utter wanton destruction of Highlands that is now taking place everywhere with masses of turbines, pylons and Bess plants and substations being imposed upon folk and their communities completely against their will. There has been and is no thought or care for the destruction of habitats, wildlife and biodiversity that will take place and the harms to the physical and mental well being of people who have lived here for generations. We are the people who care for these places not multi- national energy companies interested only in the destruction of the Highlands for their own greed and gain. Scotland and the Highlands do not need these massive energy projects- there has never been any evidence given for need because there is none and it is all greed. This current Scottish government and Westminster government are hell bent on a needless destruction and industrialisation of the last remaining wild places which will have no benefits and will not save the planet in any shape or form."
