Greed

Loch Brora is one of the most biodiverse areas in South East Sutherland, the mixed habitats are very important in terms of biodiversity. Much of the coast is farmland and the hinterland peat bog, making this area species rich, The Highlands are being spoilt in a greedy rush to provide wind energy for markets to the south!

The cheapest routes are used without proper concern to the people who live here. The Highlands are the last remaining areas in the UK that have beautiful landscapes and nature as yet unspoilt by industrialisation.

Our country is being exploited by greedy corporations in a so called green energy boom. it's not benefiting Highlanders in any way , we pay more for energy than our neighbours down south, and Scotland already produces enough energy to sustain it's population. why aren't  destructive , damaging windfarms built closer to urban centres?  why deliberately target our last unspoilt areas? money grabbing greed that's the answer, our co2 foot print is so insignificant in the grand scheme of things is it worth destroying our last remaining unspoilt nature rich areas for? yes it is if you are only interested in making money!
