Loch Brora is such a special place. Every time I visit is heals my soul. It's like heaven on earth. Words cannot truly describe how special a place it is for both the wildlife and the spiritual and mental wellbeing of so many who visit. It's so peaceful but so alive with all the locals/tourists/animals who visit/call it home through the different seasons. I swim in it/cycle round it/walk around it/picnic on the shores/ paddleboard and canoe in/meet friends/ take family and go alone for a moment to reflect. I see and hear others adults and children laughing/talking/connecting with each other (there is no internet/mobile phone connection so you really get a moment away from everything to be at one with your surrounds and those you are with). When you leave you feel so much better than when you arrived /happier/healthier and peaceful. Everyone who visits us we take to Loch Brora and they all smile, they all love it, they all seem extra happy when they leave. They all want to go back next time we visit. It will be a sad day if/when the pylons come. I feel for the birds in particular.
