Loss of unique amenity

Loch Brora is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Unusually for such areas, it is relatively easy to access, so that it is enjoyed each year by many visitors and local people. As such, it contributes to the local economy, as well as providing irreplaceable leisure and health benefits, both mental and physical, for all those who visit it throughout the year.

Once destroyed by the installations of pylons, the beauty of the location can never be recovered. If a line of pylons were proposed to cross Hyde Park or Regents Park, or to run through the castle gardens beneath Edinburgh Castle, or across Sandringham Estate, or even across Royal Brora's Golf Club, there can be no doubt that the proposal would fail.

There will be feasible alternative routes for the line of pylons which must be adopted instead of the destructive route currently under consideration.
