The plain truth is, we as a country will not reach the net zero targets proposed. They are far to ambitious.
As we contribute less than 1% to global warming why do we require to move so quickly, it's not like we are going to make that much difference to the planet. It is not our country that requires to be so radical. We are being told that this plan will give us cheaper electricity. We were told that when they first started planting windmills. I have yet to see mine or anybody else's electricity bill decrease.
These companies are geared to play the game. Pretend to listen, change the original plan slightly but do what they set out to do anyway. They have 10 year or more corporate plans. This has been in the planning for a very long time with many £signs leading the agenda. It is history repeating itself instead of sheep it's pylons. People and communities can't be cleared this time but are placated with the odd sponsorship or grant, is this not bribery?
They also have the right to compulsory purchase, this should have been outlawed years ago as this is just a fancy name for clearance. When are they going to learn we will not take this sitting down. This is the future and people have rights. I chose to Iive in the countryside. How many times have we been told that we can't have certain things because we live in a rural area.
Well I choose to keep my rural area as is. There are much better ways of upgrading the electricity supply than devastating the countryside.
