The quest for net zero is unattainable and ruining our way of life

The UK as a whole causes less than 1% of global emissions. If it reduced to zero overnight it would have not one iota of impact on the global picture.  The UK currently utilises virtue signalling tactics due to claiming to be reducing its footprint, whilst happily exporting its manufacturing to countries such as China, whose emissions are increasing due to reliance on fossil fuelled power.

Cart before horses in Highlands.  Too many consented wind energy  developments without connectivity relying on constraint payments for profit.  Increasing grid access will only sacrifice Scotland to benefit larger cities and areas in the south who don’t want this desiccation close to them.  Inheritance tax changes will only encourage farmers on the brink to sell up to renewables firms.  As most of these developers are foreign owned, there is little to no income for this country; no energy security due to reliance on imports and no food security due to loss of farming, dairy etc.  this government’s policies are killing the UK.
