This may seem strange that a gentleman from North Wales is writing on this forum...let me explain???
Nearly 50 years ago my brother and great friend (Chris) drove all the way from North Wales just to fish Loch Brora. Mr Whelan was the game keeper and Mrs Lang was the "Factor" at the house 🏠 and it was also the year Mrs. Tyser was buried on the island. What is the link to this forum?? Simple, both Chris and I are now in our 70's and we still drive virtually most years to fish the Loch and stay in our "Adopted Village"!!
The above plan for "Giant Pylons" MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN!!
Have you been stood next to one of these pylons? The sound, the smell in the air and there sheer size is staggering!! When you sit in a rowing boat in all weathers as long as Chris and I have on the Loch over nearly half a century you see and truly appreciate the simple beauty, and tranquility of a landscape that is unique and is little changed since the "Ice-Age". Every year we always look for the nesting fulmars and the majestic family of "Peregrine Falcons" not forgetting the visits from the "Golden Eagle's and Ospreys" that regularly ensure that fishing 🎣 definitely takes second place to the magnificent VISTA that "Caroll Cliff" and the three surrounding loch's gives to this beautiful, tranquil and very special area of natural beauty and of real "Scientific Interest" to the whole of Scotland and needs to be protected for future generations to come!!
Therefore I ask that local councillors, politicians, and the companies that are involved in this "Planning Consultation" to come and join Chris and I this year, and spend just one day with us on the loch..... because it is then and only then that you will understand why this "Planning Application" must not be allowed to continue!!
